Her Majesty had a legendary sense of humour – from her Devil may care response to being pelted with eggs to her “shrieks of laughter” at a joke involving a horse and viagra.
She’s even said to indulge in gag gifts when Christmas rolls around.
So it’s not surprising to hear of a lewd comment made to celebrity gardener Alan Titchmarsh – the thing is, we can’t tell if it’s actually a joke or not…

Alan’s currently fronting up Love Your Garden on ITV, a show that gives new meaning to the phrase “easy like Sunday morning.”

The 72-year-old gardener told Good Morning Britain in 2019 that he received a “very kind” compliment when he was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire in 2000.
He recalled: “She also very sweetly when I got my MBE a couple of years ago, she very kindly said to me that I give a lot of ladies a lot of pleasure.”
What do you reckon? We think Lizzie was having a gas.
Later on in the show, Alan told that his wax work statue at Madame Tussaud’s in London had to be regularly cleaned of lipstick marks after women couldn’t stop kissing it.
He laughed: “Yes. I was standing next to Brad Pitt and I think it was just a confused identity or they couldn’t get next to him so they went for me.”
She’s said to love a rude joke

Reports have emerged from the Palace for years about what tickles Lizzie’s funny bone.
One told that Sir Donald Gosling had embarked on one such gag, before an aide shushed him to protect the Queen’s ears from smut.
Her Maj was having none of it and insisted Sir Donald press on.
A source explained: “Don was in full flow telling her his latest joke – involving a horse trainer giving Viagra to a runner in the 2.30 at Newton Abbott.

“The Minister put up his hand and stopped Don, obviously thinking the Queen shouldn’t be exposed to such ribaldry.
“HM was furious – and berated poor Mulley for ruining the joke. She made Don tell the whole joke all over again, and shrieked with laughter at the punchline, which was about the horse winning against stiff competition, or something like that.”
