Police have attended a Westminster nightclub following reports of a suspicious item.
Specialist officers attended the club on Villiers Street and carried out a thorough search, Met Police said.
A cordon was put in place and the public were advised to avoid the area.
Police said nothing suspicious was found and the report was deemed a hoax.
Road closures have now been lifted.
People are reminded to dial 999 in an emergency, or use the 101 non-emergency number.
