The Call the Midwife actor who plays the caring Dr Patrick Turner recently shared an adorable selfie with his wife and fans absolutely loved it.
Stephen McGann, who plays Dr Turner, has been married to the the show’s creator Heidi Thomas for over 30 years and they have a son called Dominic together.

He posted a loved-up photo of himself with Heidi captioning it with: “Me and her” and fans simply couldn’t get enough with some even speculating where exactly they had headed off to,
“You lovely people in Southwold? I’m there in a week’s time. Cannot wait.”
“Is that Southwold pier I spy?” a person also commented.
Whilst another person gushed writing, “What an incredibly sweet pic!”
The Doctor became the series favourite after he was introduced at the end of the pilot episode where he was seen arriving at a patient’s home after a they’d prematurely gave birth and suffered from a hemorrhage.
The power couple first met in 1986 when Stephen was a young actor living in East London and Stephen recalls that events of that day in an interview he did with The Daily Express.
“I don’t believe in love at first sight. I find it a rather trite idea, but that’s exactly what happened to me when I first met Heidi.”
“One day my agent rang to say I’d been invited to audition for a play by a new writer at Liverpool Playhouse – could I get there by six that evening? Grumpily, I agreed to go.”
“Reading the script on the train, I soon woke up. It was brilliant: searing, intelligent, thoughtful, poetic and brutal.”
“Given the gritty themes, I assumed the author Heidi Thomas would be a mature woman who’d begun writing late.”
“But then I met her and I was speechless. She was also in her early twenties, but with a complexion and elfin figure that made her look like a teenager.”
The pair ended up getting married four years later after meeting in 1990.
