A Marylebone house thought to be worth around £1 million has partially collapsed onto the street, injuring someone below.

Two fire engines rushed to the scene, and a police cordon is now in place around the five storey terraced house on Queen Anne Street in West London.

House prices on the street currently average £1 million.

London Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police dealt with the scene at the house, where road closures remained in place earlier this afternoon.

London Fire Brigade (LFB) confirmed the balcony of the house collapsed at around 10.31am this morning (Wednesday, July 21).

A spokesperson for LFB said: “Half of the first floor balcony of a mid-terrace property had collapsed, with extensive damage to the façade of the building.

“A 50 metre cordon was implemented and adjacent properties were evacuated.

“Fortunately there were no reports of any injuries.”

However, police said “one person was treated for an injury” following the incident.

LFB said two fire engines and around 10 firefighters were sent to deal with the collapse, which they left at 1.32pm.

Photos from this afternoon show part of the brick façade appears to have also crumbled onto the street, along with a section of the window frame.
