Part of Oxford Street has been cordoned off this evening after a man was repeatedly stabbed.
Armed police were called to the major shopping street, close to Oxford Circus Tube station, at 7.17pm on Friday (August 13) to reports of a stabbing.
When officers arrived at the scene, a male was found with multiple stab wounds,
His condition is currently unknown.
The victim’s age has not yet been revealed by police.
In a statement the Metropolitan Police said: “Armed response officers responded to reports of a stabbing in Oxford Street at 7.17pm close to Oxford Circus.
“A male has been found with multiple stab wounds. We await an update on his condition.
