One Show presenter Rylan Clark has shared an image of himself as Mary Poppins flying to the BBC’s Broadcasting House to assure fans he would be on the show after a recent hospital stay. Rylan shared the comical picture with the caption “Off to the @BBCTheOneShow soon,” in a clear reference to the high winds experienced across the UK due to Storm Eunice.
The presenter left fans worried after an extended stay in hospital and a nasty case of the flu meant that his Radio 2 show was pulled. He gave a health update to his One Show co-presenter Alex Jones saying that he’s had a “dodgy time”.
“I’m good. So nice to be back. You know me, I just love a little drama,” he said on a recent episode of the show. While fans had expressed their concerns about the popular TV host, they were less forgiving about his Mary Poppins impersonation with many pointing out a problem with his image.

One fan pointed out: “You’re flying the in the wrong direction, unless you’re planning on hitting the bars before the show!”
Another fan shared an edited version of the image with Rylan flying in the opposite direction saying: “fixed it x.”
Despite the mistake, many seemed happy to have Rylan back on the telly, with a number of people leaving messages of support. “Great to see you back on the telly you were much missed xc,” wrote one supportive viewer.
A second added: “It as great to see you back on the telly box with our Alex last night, perfect pairing, keep safe.”
