ITV’s Dancing on Ice welcomes series regular Phillip Schofield back to the stage tonight after he was forced to miss the show last week after he tested positive for Covid-19. The 56-year-old tested positive for coronavirus days before the live skating competition, forcing ITV to find a last minute replacement.
Stephen Mulhern, 44, stepped in to host alongside Holly Willoughby, 41, reuniting the pair for the first time on screen in over a decade. At the time, fans went wild for the replacement and loved the hosts presenting style. Making his appearance back on the competition this week, Phil said that he had serious “fear of missing out” during his absence from last week’s episode.

“I had serious FOMO – made better by three or four gin and tonics. Well done to Stephen Mulhern as well – you’re welcome,” he said. But, it seems fans were left wanting as they instantly called for the return of Stephen saying the show “wasn’t the same” without him, the Mirror reports.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Miss Stephen Mulhern already TBH,” while another said: “Oh no. Phil’s back. Hope to see Stephen back soon.
Another wrote: “I wish Stephen would host again he’s an amazing presenter #DancingOnIce”
A fellow fan chimed: “Sorry Phil but I want Stephen back #DancingOnIce”.
Another social media user wrote: “Nah, I’m off to watch midsomer murders. No Philip Schofield thanks, rather have Stephen Mulhern! #DancingOnIce”.
“Not gonna be the same without Stephen #DancingOnIce,” another said.
