Rufus Hound is no stranger to British TV fans, having racked up dozens of acting credits in a career spanning more than 20 years to date.
This week, the 42-year-old The Wedding Video and Big Fat Gypsy Gangster actor will put his general knowledge to the test as he stars in Richard Osman’s House of Games on BBC Two alongside Jayde Adams, Scott Mills and Josie D’arby.
But what about Hound’s life off-screen? From getting married in Las Vegas after meeting his bride-to-be at a music festival to their split after 13 years, the comedian’s life is worlds apart from some of the parts he’s played on screen.

Rufus Hound and Beth Johnson were married for 13 years and shared lots of happy memories together
Rufus Hound announced he split from his wife Beth Johnson during the first national coronavirus lock down in April 2020.
At the time, the then 41-year-old was at the centre of rumours claiming he was to star in the following year’s season of Dancing On Ice.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote: “In April, Beth and I made the sad decision to end our marriage.
“We will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated we will always remain best friends.”
Rufus Hound impressed the judges when he took part in ITV’s Dancing On Ice
The pair share two children Alby and Hilda together, and he highlighted that they will always remain the couple’s priority.
Rufus and Beth met at Reading Festival in 2006, and enjoyed a whirlwind romance before tying the knot at the Little Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas just one year later.
During his stint on the ITV celebrity ice-dancing competition in 2021, Hound impressed the judges so much in the first show that they sent him straight through to week three with a ‘golden ticket’.
His good fortunes weren’t to last, however, as he tested positive for Covid-19 shortly after and was forced to quite the competition due to the rules.
