It is well known that the Royal Family buy each other joke presents for Christmas, and one year, the Duchess of Cambridge took the cake with what she bought Prince Harry.
In previous years, gag gifts that the royals have bought one another include a singing hamster, a leather toilet seat and even a shower cap- given to the Queen by Prince Harry- which had “Ain’t life a b****” written on it.
But Kate triumphed with her present to her brother-in-law before he met his wife, Meghan.
She bought him a ‘Grow-your-own girlfriend kit’!
The item can be bought cheaply online and grows to six-times its normal size. It seems Kate was mocking the then-bachelor’s love life.

Despite the jokes, Kate and Harry were very close and she even acted as a matchmaker for him in his younger years and used to set him up on blind dates.
And he reportedly asked for the approval of his sister-in-law before asking Meghan to marry him.
According to Vanity Fair’s royal correspondent Katie Nicholl, she said, “Harry and Kate are very close, she’s been like a mentor to him and he wanted her seal of approval.”
