When Kate Middleton hugged a fan at a sports centre a couple of years ago, the Duchess of Cambridge let the crowd in on a very sweet parenting tip that she often uses on her three children.
Kate and Prince William were out visiting the Basildon Sporting Village in October 2018 when the Duchess embraced a very loving fan before she revealed her personal parenting advice.
The visit was part of the Royal Foundation’s Coach Core programme when Kate was snapped with fellow Royal fan, Janet Emery.

Though strict protocol dictates that the Royals can’t hug their fans and members of the public, Kate couldn’t help hugging Janet back in a very cute moment.
Kate quickly revealed to the crowd that she often tells her kids Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3, that hugs are very special.
The Duchess told the crowd “Hugs are very important. That’s what I tell my children.”
The Duchess of Cambridge has some very sweet parenting tips
Other parenting tips that Kate swears by include how being outdoors for as long as possible is the best way to cherish family time together.
The Duchess wrote an open letter in support of Children’s Hospice Week which said: “Spending quality time together is such an important aspect of family life and for me, as a mother, it is the simple family moments like playing outside together that I cherish.”
While pregnant with Prince Louis in 2018, Kate told the St Luke’s Community Centre how much she enjoys cooking with her children.
Kate told a community member: “I’ve done that with George and Charlotte – making pizza dough. They love it because they can get their hands messy.
