Summer 2021 is set to start right about now, and with so much time to make up for, it’s bound to be a big one for garden parties and entertaining friends. So when it comes to impressing your pals and bringing that sunshine to the table, here are my 3 summer staple recipes.
After a year of not being able to see each other, sharing never felt so good. This centerpiece beauty is fairly low prep while still being high impact, once you pop it on the table just watch how they flock round and start grazing. With the added benefit of being packed with fruit and veg, it’s guilt free party food.
There’s that old wives tale that the way to cool down is with a hot cup of tea, but I don’t totally buy into that one. I find a tall glass of iced tea is a much better alternative on a hot summer’s day. If you make a few different options, it won’t take you long and will allow people to pour themselves a glass of whichever flavour they like.
Since the team wrote this recipe a few years ago (thanks Jenny), these ice lollies have become a regular summer snack at my house. I love them because not only are they fruit filled and delicious, they also look like cute little slices of watermelon.
