Family and friends have been paying tribute to a 30-year-old “family man” who was tragically stabbed to death in the early hours of Friday morning.
A massive crime scene has been in place since police were first called to reports of a stabbing shortly after 1am on July 30.
Police administered CPR to the victim and paramedics fought to save his life, but the man, understood to be a father-of-two called Reece, was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital at 2.37am.

A neighbour and friend of Reece’s told My London: “My daughter knew him, he was a good man, a family man with two kids.
“Things like this don’t normally happen around here. In this estate, everyone used to know each other, we’d leave all the doors unlocked, have street parties.
“But in the last year, it hasn’t been like that, different people have moved into the area.”
They added: “He worked in construction to support his family, he wasn’t a part of any gang or anything.”

Another man in his 20s was found nearby suffering from stab wounds and was taken to hospital in a non-life-threatening condition. He has since been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Three forensic tents were set up in different places within the cordon on Welland Street, where a nursery and children’s playground can be found.
Flowers and tributes have been laid throughout the day on the edge of the crime scene.

Reece’s sister told My London: “A good man has passed.”
According to a local MP, the incident began as a “fight between two men.”
